Cotulla ISD is exploring the possibility of partnering with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Laredo to provide an after-school program for Newman Middle School students. The proposed program could offer a safe and supervised environment with academic support, homework assistance, leadership development, arts, recreational activities, and physical fitness opportunities.
At this time, no decisions have been made. This survey will help the district better understand community interest and gather feedback as we evaluate whether this partnership would benefit our students and families.
We encourage all families to share their input:

We are proud to share that Erica Adams, our District Safety and Security Coordinator, was a presenter at this year's Texas School Safety Conference!
In her session, "Operationalizing Real-Time Information Sharing to Support the Uvalde Strong Act," she highlighted how Cotulla ISD uses the Bridge4PS platform to stay connected with first responders and law enforcement during incidents across La Salle County. This real-time information allows the district to respond proactively, adjust school operations as needed, and keep students and staff safe.
She shared the stage with Texas DPS, who showcased interoperable communications through Bridge4PS, and the Aldine ISD Police Department, who shared their implementation of the Bridge4PS platform across their department.
Thank you to the Texas School Safety Conference for the opportunity to share how Cotulla ISD is working to keep our schools safe! 👏
