Cotulla Early College High School, known as CECHS, held its very first signing day Tuesday, April 28 and the energy in the room said it all. Students signed in front of their families and peers, receiving a certificate and a t-shirt to mark the moment.

CECHS is set to begin in Fall 2026. The program gives students the chance to earn up to 60 college credit hours and graduate with an Associate of Arts Degree in English, completely free. No tuition, no fees for families.

Tuesday's signing day was the first of what Cotulla ISD plans to make an annual tradition, celebrating each new class of students who choose to take that next step!
