Cotulla ISD started the 2025-26 school year with a fun and exciting convocation to bring everyone together. Our Cotulla High School Cheerleaders helped kick off the event with spirit! Staff from all campuses were also treated to lunch.
Superintendent Dr. Ramiro Nava then welcomed everyone and shared encouraging words to help set a positive tone for the year. After that, we heard from special guests from the Cotulla ISD Education Foundation. President, Rosario Morales, and Keith Franklin, VP of Finance and Governance, spoke about the Cotulla ISD Education Foundation and their mission to give back to our teachers and students.
To finish the day, each campus joined in a cheer competition to show off their school spirit! The Early Childhood Learning Center, Ramirez-Burks Elementary, Encinal Elementary, Frank Newman Middle School, and Cotulla High School all brought the energy—but Frank Newman Middle School took home the win!
